The Name
Etymology
The Latin solvere meant to loosen, to untangle, to free what was bound. It's the root of solve, solution, resolve, dissolve. Combined with the Germanic -ek, an agent suffix meaning 'the one who does.'

We're a small, focused group of engineers with more than 20 years in UK enterprise IT. We've worked inside major UK banks, credit referencing agencies, healthcare systems, government services, and financial institutions.
We've built, maintained, and operated the infrastructure behind nation-critical services: the systems that can't go down, where a bad deployment isn't an inconvenience but a front-page incident.
That background shapes everything we build at Solvek. We don't prototype. We ship production systems for environments where reliability isn't optional.
